I'm always looking for foods that are IC-friendly and unfortunately when you go to the supermarket, almost everything in it has soy or ascorbic acid, etc. So when I find something, I like to share it.
I had friends over this weekend and wanted to buy some things that we all could eat. Of course some things, like salsa, were for them only, not me. But I found tortilla chips at Safeway. They were in the aisle near the organic foods, not in the regular chip aisle. They are called Garden of Eatin Yellow Chips - All Natural Tortilla Chips. The other chips in the regular chip aisle all had lime juice, etc in them. Big no-nos. This one has:
organic yellow corn
expeller pressed canola oil and/or safflower oil and/or sunflower oil
sea salt
I'm not sure if all of those oils are IC-friendly. Does anybody know? Anyway, I had a bunch of these chips and didn't have a bad result. They do have salt, so you may need to watch your portion so you don't inundate your bladder with that.
