I was disagnosed with IC about 10 years ago. My symptoms, mostly pain in the bladder and frequency, have gotten better over the years through diet change and medication/treatment/advice from a great urologist. I have bad flares a couple of times of year. During that time (and sometimes during my period) I get an arousal feeling in my genitals. It has been mild and resolved in a day or two when the flare (or the cause like my period) resolved. I never really thought about it much, figured it was a nerve thing with the inflammation. Anyway, I had a really bad flare a couple of weeks ago that I am just getting over. HOWEVER, the arousal feeling in my urethra/clitoris/vaginal area will not go away. I know this has been discussed on the Forum before but the posts are a bit old. Someone please tell me if they have this symptom and if it has ever lasted a couple of weeks and gone away. Of course, I am terrified of having Persistent Genital Arousal Symdrome because it looks like that is a permanent and, I think, just as bad or worse condition as IC since there are not treatments. Any input appreciated.
