Hi Dixie...it was so nice of you to drop in to say "Hello". I see your posts all the time and you are so kind to people. You were one of the first ones to reply to me last month when I found this site and had just found out about IC and had so many questions.
All of you people are just wonderful and I do believe saved my life. The depression I felt and all the questions I had, had me in such a depression and all of you helped sort things out. Love Ya

When I actually sit down to think about it-- there's a good handful of ICers in Mass. some don't post that often here... but here's who I came up with:
myself, Mary, Caryn, Eleanor, Sylvia, Molly, Kim, Kara*, Grinch, and others I've met offline, Michelle F.....I'm sure there are many others. :) And then there's our close neighbors in CT. RI, NH and ME -- I've always viewed NewEngalnd as one big area vs. being in separate states. :D
*has since moved away

HI there, Welcome! I am from Milford Mass. I was diagnosed in January 2004. Had a hydro/cysto done. I havent been to happy about the diagnosis, But I am dealing. Not to happy with my uro. (looking for a new one) anyone have any idea? I heard there is a good one in Natick Ma. Cant recall his name. Anyway, I may not post that often but I am always here reading. Im thinking the more I know the better off I am.
I am on Elmiron 2 times a day, Ditropan once and something at night.(i forget what its called, who can keep track) My major symptoms are urgency and frequency with the most tremendous back pain. I have had a constant back ache since September when I got a UTI that just wouldnt go away. Which is why I ended up at the URo in the first place.
This has not been easy to cope with and everyday I say to myself is today going to be the day someone pulls the sharp knife out of my lower back. So far NO! Cant get enough pain med to take care of back ache, Have to work 40 hours plus i have 2 children 6 and 4.... IM wiped most of the time.... I just want to be out of pain.. Whatever it takes...... Need to find a uro that can make me pain free, or a pain clinic that can releive my constant back pain..... Can anyone help....?
Well, Good luck in your research and I hope this site helps.. It has helped me a ton!!!!
Take care,
Coleen

Count me in, from Walpole area....I think the Dr you are inquiring about is Dr Friedman, he was the beloved Dr of our dear friend AuntiedebbieF, who passed away almost a year ago. i cant be sure, but I do think he is in practice in Natick and is on staff at the Metrowest hospital? I go to Boston, so not sure if that is the correct name of the hospital...I do know he spoke at the local support group, rung by Molly? I haven't attended, but she should know...I remember a post on the meeting and they are held in Natick....hello NEnglanders!!! :)

COOL!!!Jean, I live in the Berkshires as well. I live in Dalton. Maybe we could get together sometime. Actually, it would be cool if all us "Massers" could meet half way and have lunch or dinner! Anyone interrested???? :)

Hey Sheri, thanks for the reply. I'd be willing to do a halfway thing. You are the first person from this end of the State that I've come across with IC. I'll pm you.

I am in southern Vermont, but go to Lahey Clinic for all my bladder down in Burlington, Mass. It is a two hour drive for me, but worth it. Judith

Franya,I am very close to you.I live in Methuen.Ma.I have had IC for 6 yrs and have been in remission for 5 yrs due to the IC diet and Prelief.
This past two weeks I have had major flare ups.Of course I know why--became too confident and started to eat the wrong type of foods.Well,I am paying the piper now.

I also have many other health issues since that dx one of which is Ocular Myasthenia Gravis(a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy) plus OA and a few others.
My e-mail is deloreskaplan@comcast.net Hope to hear from you or any one else who would like to drop me a line.Gentle hugs to all, delores from Ma.
