Hey everyone!

It's been almost a year since I first starting having my IC symptoms. And...almost a year since my husband and I decided that we were ready for a baby. Funny how life works that way. Needless to say, we have NOT been trying since the IC started. I would however, like to start trying now. For the most part, I have my symptoms under control (managable) with the help of meds (namely Elival and Ditropan). I have done some research and found out that Elival is safe to take during pregnancy but I'm not sure about the Ditropan. The reason I am wanting to know is because I know how I feel when I am not on my meds and there is no way I would want to put that kind of stress on an unborn baby. My hopes are, that I can continue on my meds throughout the pregnancy baring they are safe for the baby. Anyone have any info/experience on taking these medications during pregnancy?

Thanks again for all of your continued support. I don't know what I would do without my ICN friends.

All the best, as always,

Poppystock

Hi Lisa!

Best of luck to you and your husband. We are also considering trying for our second child. I am curious -- where did you read that Elavil is safe to take during pregnancy? Or did your doctor tell you it was? I think Elavil is what has helped me the most and would love to stay on it during pregnancy....but for some reason did NOT think it was safe.

Thanks!
Emily
