Hi people, Philbert here, I was diagnosed in dec 2003 with Ic. I also have psoriasis, and Ulcerative colitis. I am a member of the itis family. What do all these condition have in common along with other diseases? INFLAMMATION. Well one doctor I went to did not just treat the symptoms , he wanted to eliminate the symptoms. He basically said , "you have to change your immune system". One book he recommended was the Inflammation Syndrome, by Jack Chalam. Basically it discusses pro and anti inflammatory foods. Supplements like vit e ,c fish oils etc, and a anti inflammatory diet. For people with Ic , we have to stay away from certain foods , why , because our bladders are INFLAMMED and certain foods will aggrevate it. We should be thinking about how to heal our bladder. Do you know that alot of the foods on the IC freindly list are PRO INFLAMMATORY. Potatoes bread rice pasta are all highly inflammatory. Right now my psoriasis is completely gone after 30 years. My Ic and Uc are very manageable. Just my thoughts. Have a nice day Philbert:hi:

Thanks for sharing your success. Just curious, what else did you do for your immune system? Grace
I had a severe flare from fish oil pills. The ph is very acidic as they are highly concentrated AMINO ACIDS.
I am very curious about your posting.

Philbert - I work with a nutritionist who has put me on a low inflamation diet (cutting out many inflammatory-causing foods) and it has helped tremendously but I was not able to find the book you mentioned. Could you or anyone else on the boards who has found it post some more information on it? Thanks. Ratchada

Ratchada, I checked on Amazon.com, and they have it for sale there. I also found it in a library that networks with my local library, so I'm checking it out:) Grace
