We got our flu shots about two weeks ago and neither of us has had any reaction at all. Okay, my arm was sore the day after the shot but that is all.

We'll get ours next Friday --- and the swine flu one as soon as it's available to us.

My husband got his flu shot today his first one EVER!! For those of us that are under the age of 50yrs.. I'm 44 should we get the H1N1 shot since we have IC? I asked the nurse at my URO office if I should get it. She had no idea.

I've gotten a flu vaccine every year since i contracted the flu back in '96. I dont think its possible to get sick from the flu vaccine. Theory has it that by the time the flu vaccine rolls around its prime season for germs. Its also not suggested to get the flu vaccine if you're feeling ill that day, or have been feeling ill days prior. I wasnt feeling up to par the day I got my flu vaccine 2 weeks ago (felt the beginnings of a cold coming on) but got the vaccine anyway; am now finally at the end of what was a seasonal cold.
Unless its suggested by my GP I have no plans on getting the H1N1 vaccine.

Some people do get sick from flu shots, but it's not the usual response. I usually get a very sore arm.

We will be getting them sometime next week (regular flu shot) and the Swine Flu as soon as its available. My husband usually gets some kind of reaction to the flu shot - only last for a day or two.
In the section that I am in at work, there are 3 confirm cases of the swine flu and 2 suspected cases.

My mom ask about getting the H1N1 flu shot in her Dr. office - it comes out there next week. They said she can't get the shot because she is older and should have some resistance to it already - she is 66. Has anyone else been told this?

My Dad was told that as well. I didn't know this either, so when i made my appointment I did ask my nurse and she confirmed it. i also asked if I can get both of them at the same time, she said yes if they have the shot at that time (going next Thursday) but someone else told me here at the office that you have to wait for 21 days--I really don't know about that as I know when all of this stuff came out for the swine flu that they were going to give it in 2 dosages-and that had to be 21 days apart, so does anyone know about this?
I would like to know as I really don't want to spend another co-pay unless I have to.

When I got my daughter's flu mist the doctor told me she had to wait 30 days before getting the H1N1. And yes, your right they have to be in two doses for kids. I don't know the time span in between these. I am still checking all this out.
