last night i had a bad night couldnt sleep because of pain.:cussing: about one a.m i got up to use the bathroom and when i peed it felt like i was peeing razor blades. I still toss and turned all night and had bad dreams because of having to take so much pain medicine last night.:yikes: the weirdest dream was when the alarm clock went off at six a.m i was dreaming i had a ball bat and was trying to break everything around me to stop the noices. LOL. then i finally woke up the buzzing was getting to me. then of course it was the alarm clock. Now get this my husband of course sleeps with me how can a man not hear an alarm clock that is right beside him at full blast going off but yet i hear it every morning and have to wake his ill butt up if he didn't have to work i do believe i wouldn't wake him up at all and i would get the kids up and take them to school myself. he is a bear in the morning but this morning there was to bears me and him.
i'm feeling much better now the kidney is still a little sore i guess from the stone that was there i'm still burning in my private area. is this normal? i have never had one before is this the way it feels when you pass one? sorry so many question but i just don't know. please help me out here.
sending you all hugs and kisses

I have never had a kidney stone but my son has. He told me that when the stone began to move that it was the worst pain he had ever been in. Thought that his appendix had burst but knew that was not it because of the location of the pain. He lives alone in the Dallas area and had to call 911 because he could not drive himself to the hospital. When he told me he wanted to go to the hospital, I knew he was in major pain. He hates to see doctors and is able to handle pain pretty well. He went to er by ambulance. My poor baby...in pain and I could not do anything for him. :(

I hope you start feeling better soon...:kissing:

Hi Rhonda, sorry you are having a rough time with the pain, I know when I passed my stones, I did not have the burning, but unbelievable pressure in my bladder and pain in my abdomen. Hope you start to feeling a little better, take care, love and soft hugs Iris.:hi:  :grouphug: :flower:

Rhonda,
Hope your doing ok.Mine is hanging with me. I did have burning and pain for a few days after the last stone passed it was 3 days . I was in the hospital and released on the 3rd day. I returned to the er the following night and had a uti. Doctor said stone could have upset things. I was like it sure did. I hope my stone does not pass I would rather have the lipotrypsy done. Be put to sleep and wake up and its gone. That was less painful for me than passes my second stone. best wishes and take care
Kelly

You might want to get checked for a UTI. For some reason I always got an infection when passing stones (or even if they just jiggled around in there sometimes!) If you're still feeling it, you might have an infection. It's pretty common, I think. Or it could also be just your body is still a little traumatized by it and it just needs a few days to heal. If you read up on what happens when you pass a stone, (try Webmd, etc) you'll see that the whole urinary tract spazzes out (literally.) It takes a while for it all to recover from that.

its been rough here lately kind of touch and go i should have knew something was wrong yesterday when i felt some better then bam this hits.
hopefully my uro will have some answer for me friday i hate to call and leave a message because i truly believe the rn doesnt give him all the information i give her.
i know they have alot of pat and he is a very busy doctor but i feel like when you call and leave a message for your doctor then its the rn job to relate all the information to the doctor.
and i don't believe she is doing this at all.
sending you all hugs and prayers
and thank you so much for helping me threw this

BIG HUGS Rhonda!!! :grouphug:

I am so sorry you have had such a rough go of it here lately!!
I hope you will begin to feel better the next few days. It does sound like you did pass a stone last night, but remember, there could be more than one. So if you don't feel better call that doc again. Lithotripsy might be the better option. It pulverizes the stones into a fine powder and that is much easier to pass. You may want to ask your doc about doing a full work-up to check and see if they can find a reason for the stones. They do blood and urine studies. Could be caused by a med reaction or diet thing changing the make-up of your blood and therfore urine. Some people are suceptible to them when they eat specific foods. I do not know that much about it but I know that with some investigating, it is possible to figure out what caused the stone and develop a plan to prevent them. I do know UTI's themselves make you more at risk, and since you get those so frequently, that might be what led to yours. But I am not a doctor, a doctor needs to help you figure your situation out. Goodluck!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you!!
