I know the diet isn't an exact science and just kind of came about. I have never ventured far out of the American version of ethnic foods when cooking but wondering if there are some more uncommon vegetables or seasoning herbs that are well tolerated. I know there are several things in the Asian cuisine I don't know about that might be good for us. Need more seasonings too...

I havn't had any problems with most asian vegetables such as nappa, bok choy, chinese broccoli and just about all other green asian vegetables I can find out here (don't remember all their names).
Certain noodles are ok, just look at the ingredients, soba noodles, somen, udon can all be ok.
You can make a simple soup noodle if you want with msg free chick broth, the noodles and the veggies.
Most Mantou is ok(steamed bread) just check if they have preservatives.
Unfortunately asian foods usually have soy products, msg, and/or spice.
