Has anyone used aloe vera jell as lubrication? Did it bother anyone, did anyone have success?

Thinking about trying this...any info would be appreciated.

Hi Katrina,

Never thought I'd say something like this 4 years ago, but yes, I have used aloe vera for lube. It is nice and cooling if you have irritation in your vaginal area. The main problem is that because it is watery, it doesn't last very long before you have to add more.

I still stand by Liquid Silk, which does NOT have glycerin, and doesn't sting me at all and lasts a long time.

I have not personally tried Liquid Silk, though I have heard many people here swear by it. I see glicerin is not the listed ingredients, which is good, but I see there are many alcohols--which technically (chemically) are sugars:

Liquid Silk Ingredients
Water, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Cellulose Polymer, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate NSE, IPD, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, B.H.T. It also contains vitamin E.
