diagnosed Monday - med. question

Hi. I was diagnosed Monday with a cystoscopy and hydrodistention. That is not something I want to do again! Ouch! My urologist has given me a prescription for Ditropan and wants me to take 2.5mg at 8am and 2.5mg at 3pm. I am concerned by the side effects listed for this drug. Does anyone have experience with Ditropan.

It made me constipated and very dry mouth. By the way,it didn't help me,none of the OAB meds helped me.

You should feel better in a few days. And some do really well on overactive bladder meds.

Oh, thanks for the good wishes, Donna. I am feeling fine again. I just had a LOT of bleeding after the procedure and pain for about 36 hours. I was not anesthetized when the doctor started the procedure like I thought I would be, but fortunately the anesthetic kicked in before he went too far, and I was given absolutely nothing to help with pain afterward. I feel back to normal now. I am hoping that, like you, I get some benefit from the hydrodistention. I have had this problem a long time and, coupled with IBS, it really does interfere with your life.
