I am feeling really bad. I had a uti test done 2 weeks ago and it came back saying i had ecoli and that is why I was in pain.

Then I had my instill last week (wed) and now its hurting really bad again. I don't think my infection is gone..could I have a uti/ or yeast infection.

I am begining to think its a yeast infection. I have distarge and I didn't before when they thought I had an infection.
This makes me think I do. What does it feel like? Does it cause you to have more pain with your IC because it hurts so bad!:help:
thanks

It could be yeast.I don't get the itching that most women do with yeast infections.I get sore up inside instead and also some burning pain. Did you look wiith a hand mirror to see if there are any whitish areas that won't wipe off? That's how Ii found out I had a yeast infection. I went to see my GYN and he gave me medicine to get rid of it.

I don't have itching either. What happens if it is not treated..like when I had the first UTI test (the machine was broken so they had to guess during the test) and I didn't take meds for it. Then I got an instill which could have held off the pain but not fix it. If I don't treat it could it get worse? What about distarge..as bad as it sounds...does this happen? I have never had on before im only 18.
It does hurt inside..like my bladder (or the area) is in pain soo bad. my dr had given me oxycodone 5mg and last time before they would give me my antibiotic that did nothing I took it and it didnt help.
I am at college so Im switching doctors and the office i am going to doesnt have a dr till dec. I only see a nurse..she is planning on givin me an instill. can they still do this? how do they test for yest infection how do they treat and how long does it take. do you get any physical symptoms..can it make you tired or feel odd at all?

thank you soo much..you have no idea how helpful this is!!!1

I have candida and I can go on the diet for it and it starts to go away and if I try to eat like a normal person it comes back. Whenever my bladder starts to bug me, I treat myself for yeast and then the pain goes away. I never have sugar, hardly ever, so what I mean by like a normal person is eating bread or anything with carbs. I use kefir and this helps a little and I also am taking oregano oil. Yeast fighters help the best, but right now I can't afford them. Kefir is practically free. I have the kind you culture and grow in milk. I guess after 19 years of IC you get to be pretty good at figuring out what causes flares.

That sounds familiar...
It started (about 1 1(2 weeks ago) with a bladder infection and bacterial vaginosis.
Then I was treated with ciprofloxacine and some antibiotic cream...which was a great decision, because as a side effect now I am suffering from a yeast infection as well.(though the bladder infection and BV are gone now...)
Your symptoms just sound like mine. I am suffering from severe burning...I feel like I could actually spend the night in the bathroom. If you notice a white vaginal discharge ...sort of like curd...itīs probably a yeast infection.
you should see a doctor...yeast infection is usually easy to treat...I am also sticking to a special diet...no sugar (GOD thatīs soooo hard)

I hope you get better soon
