These 2 books have been the most helpful for me:

"The Chronic Illness Workbook: Solutions & Strategies for Taking Back Your Life" by Patricia A. Fennell, MSW, CSW-R

"A Delicate Balance: Living Successfully with Chronic Illness" by Susan Milstrey Wells.

I think "Full Catastrophic Living" by the Kabat Zinns (maybe just John?) is supposed to be good. (I hope I have that title right...)

I just read a good one called, "Strong at the Broken Places" by Bill Cohen. He interviewed 5 people with chronic illnesses and then followed their lives for a couple of years. The book explained how they each handled their diseases and how their families were affected by it all. I highlighted mine like crazy with things that I could relate to. Very good read for someone figuring out what their emotions are..It showed that it is normal for them to vary from day to day.

Full Catastrophe living by Jon Kabitt-Zinn is an excellent book. It also has information on mindfulness meditation which is a very good coping skill.
