I guess I will tell you my lil story..a never ending battle. I started having pain and I didn't know where it was coming from I went to health services and they keep telling me I had a uti..and kept giving me antibiotics. They referred me to a urologist in clovis which is 17 miles away. I had insurance problems and christmas break so I had to wait three months..I saw her the urologist twice, once I had the ivp dye to check for kidney stones... I was allegic to the ivp dye..so I got really realllly sick, then the next week February 2003 I had my cystoscopy and hydrodistention.. I didn't wake up for 5 hours..so I didn't get to talk to my doctor but she did give me a website..ichelp.org. then three days after I felt horrible so I went back to my urologist and she put me in the hospital over night..I had a cath, and an iv. I had an infection. It was during midterms week. I started taking Elmiron it made me so sick, I would throw up and sleep all the time..it would make me feel worse. My urologist left for nine months to take care of her kids...her partner was there once a week and had her patients and his..so it took about a month to see him..so I would forget I had an appointment.so I didn't go the whole time. She finally came back two weeks ago...I asked her to start dmso..and she said yes... and last week...Monday I saw tons of blood so dixie told me to go to the er...I couldn't pee so I had to wait. the doctor came in and said I think you have a uti..then I finally used the restroom to give them a samply. two hours later a nurse came in with three pills and the release paper...and she said take it..and I looked at her..and asked her if I had a uti...then she said yes..and I asked her what she was giving me two Pyridium and an antiboictic...they doctor didn't even see me..when the results came..and they send me home..I felt so horrible..I think I ODed on pyrium because I felt so horrible..and I kept throwing up, and I was in so much more pain then when I went to the er..I didn't want to go back..they would think I was crazy...so I finally got myself to bed. Wednesday I went to my urologist and the nurse took my; urine I told her I had an infection..I peed in the cup, she spent half an hour looking at my urine..she was tlaking to another nurse..and they thought it was crazy that it came from a 21 year old..then doctor started to open the door and the nurse told her to come see his..the doctor opened the door, and said I have a uti and I can't start the dmso. This week i'm going to a kidney doctor to make sure everything is okay and see if I still have a uti, Wednesday If I don't have a uti..I get to start my dmso..I hope it works. can you tell me your story?
