Now what?

Hi everyone,

I am down and frustrated. I am on Elmiron and Cysta Q...had my 3rd hydro/cysto 2 weeks ago and all I do now is go to the bathroom. Woke up at 4am this morning and proceeded to go 5 times in an hour. I am disgusted, miserable and I just can't deal anymore with this. I have a cll into my Dr to see what she can do to help with the frequesncy. What do you guys take for urgency/frequency?

Also, I know I do not have an infection as I was tested twice in the last 2 weeks....as well as having an antibiotic anyway.

I've tried Detrol and Detrol LA for frequency... more recently on Ditropan... no luck. I've tried to "hold it" to try and make sure when I'm voiding that my bladder is full, but the sense of urgency is awful. I know what you're going through, it's a miserable feeling. I'm looking into other options now, Urased and InterStim, have an appointment myself next Monday.

My suggestion would be to call your uro and ask to be seen so you can get some help. It's still possible that you could have a UTI --- an infection can develop within a matter of hours.

I say this only to help you if it does......Don't feel ashamed if you feel you need a Depends to lead a normal life....we do whatever it takes. For me a large ammount of calcium makes a big difference...bigger difference than just a little. The only thing left I can say is to keep experimenting with the choices your uro gives you.

I'm taking a natural medicine that is helping with pain and frequency, I was going every 5 mins before I got relief. Now I'm going to the bathroom every 3 hours.

What is it that you are taking? How does your doctor feel about it?

i'm taking natural aloe vera made with fossilized coral minerals 72 trace minerals, vitamin d and magnesium. Ummmm, I never told my doctor about it. i'm sure he would not mind me taking them as long as they are helping.

I'm going to try the Aloe! You know, I'm game for anything that could help!

I notice your up in the middle of the night alot. What is your time zone? Do you work nights, or just can't sleep?
