colonoscopy prep

I am doing miralax tomorrow and lots of it for a colon test.
Will this give me a flair??

How did the Miralax work for you - did you flair? was it as horrible as they say?
I need to have one done...I dread the prospect of a flair , I am extremely limited in what I can eat.
also worried that the saline (salt) Iv will cause flair - I can't eat salt!!!

I did not flair in the bladder at all.
But it did upset the tummy a bit.

You may not need as much as they say.
I took half of what my doc said to take and I was cleaned out just fine.
Take as little as you can. Maybe start early so you can see how it goes.
Eat light the day before.....

Did the saline IV bother you? I am staying awake...I can't stand medications (very reactive)...and have a very high pain tolerance..probably from IC!

Does the saline effect you at all?

No, saline will not bother you.
It will help you.
Even your skin...
you will be fine.

The anesisia did not bother me at all either.
Made me feel wonderful.

The saline solution goes directly into your blood, not bladder. It has the same amount of salt as your blood, hence the name normal saline. Water is not compatable with blood, which is why something with molecular weight (like salt or sugar) needs to be added to it.
