Every fall, Scottish Country Dance classes start all around the world, including throughout the USA. These are the dances you see in movies, like Pride and Prejudice. You don't have to bring a partner as you change partners every dance. It is VERY IC friendly... and, best of all, you just have to laugh and smile when you do it. Absolutely one of the funnest things I've ever done.
This year, I'm doing old Scottish and English Ballroom dances twice a month. I'd never waltzed as a kid, and it's amazingly difficult but still VERY fun and romantic. Scottish reels are a blast too.
