Dear friends,
It has been a while since I last posted in this forum.. I came back to say hello there! :hi:
Well, as some of you can remember for my previous posts, I have been much better since I started the Lyrica. The day after the first dose the pain was nearly gone! I should have gone 4 or 6 times the initial dose, but I find that it is not necessary. I am on 75 mg/day.
Well I do have some flares every now and then, and I still need to be careful with food, but whenever I have pain now (mostly burning), it goes away with heat or, in case it's bit more intense, a drink that lowers acidity.
2 or 3 times in the last months I have had moments of bad pain, but then paracetamol+codeine made it better in 1-2 days.
What I am saying is: life is much more enjoyable when IC is at a manageable level!!!
I spent the last few months in Italy, as I have been really really bad and I had to leave temporarily my life in London.
Among other things I have to deal with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And boy, it's hard!
They found I have many deficiencies (potassium, vit D etc) and hormonal problems (pituitary gland, adrenal glands, hashimoto thyroiditis), but I am doing therapies for that and it's going much better.
I have come back to London and I have started working part-time: only 2 days a week... I find it quite manageable but enough.
Lately I had some problems in my relatioship with my bf. ahhhhhhhh.... it's hard. I'll maybe post something about that in another section.
WELL.. more or less things are improving. Every day I thank any superior force for the blessing of not being in pain all the time anymore!!!
Good luck and a hug to each one of you.
:)
