Dear friends,

It has been a while since I last posted in this forum.. I came back to say hello there! :hi:

Well, as some of you can remember for my previous posts, I have been much better since I started the Lyrica. The day after the first dose the pain was nearly gone! I should have gone 4 or 6 times the initial dose, but I find that it is not necessary. I am on 75 mg/day.

Well I do have some flares every now and then, and I still need to be careful with food, but whenever I have pain now (mostly burning), it goes away with heat or, in case it's bit more intense, a drink that lowers acidity.
2 or 3 times in the last months I have had moments of bad pain, but then paracetamol+codeine made it better in 1-2 days.

What I am saying is: life is much more enjoyable when IC is at a manageable level!!!

I spent the last few months in Italy, as I have been really really bad and I had to leave temporarily my life in London.
Among other things I have to deal with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And boy, it's hard!

They found I have many deficiencies (potassium, vit D etc) and hormonal problems (pituitary gland, adrenal glands, hashimoto thyroiditis), but I am doing therapies for that and it's going much better.

I have come back to London and I have started working part-time: only 2 days a week... I find it quite manageable but enough.

Lately I had some problems in my relatioship with my bf. ahhhhhhhh.... it's hard. I'll maybe post something about that in another section.

WELL.. more or less things are improving. Every day I thank any superior force for the blessing of not being in pain all the time anymore!!!

Good luck and a hug to each one of you.
:)

Hey April,

I haven't been on the ICN for too long, but I do remember seeing some posts from you during searches and such. I'm always glad to hear that a fellow IC'er is doing better, and I hope that you will continue to improve and improve over the days...

It's good that you've found the other problems and are on therapy for them - I sincerely believe our body is a system, and needs to be healed as whole.

As for the bfriend, relationships aren't easy, dealing with this stuff just throws more complications into the mix. Communication and patience, hope you guys work things out!
