Hi All,
I am sorry about the short notice but I just received a call from Dr. Freeman that the study has currently run into some kinks. There are some potentially adverse reactions that are occurring and the study has been discontinued until more research is done to ensure the participants will be safe. Dr. Freeman did not want to discuss this study when it may be potentially unsafe and it could be months before it is deemed safe and we can participate. They did state that the study will hopefully be cleared in time for our next meeting in January. They will keep me up to date and I will provide you with more information as it becomes available to me.
This doesn't mean that our session is canceled. We will still have our session but instead I would like to do a "share your story" session. This will be your opportunity to talk about your story of diagnosis, how many doctors you've been through, how having IC has made you change your life and habits, what treatments you are on now, etc. I hope to still see you all there despite the change of plans.
