Hi all,
I believe that I have had IC for many years, mostly as frequency. I discovered this site 3 years ago and I was finally dxed a few weeks ago. My bladder was feeling pretty good at the time my appt. rolled around as it took a few months to get into see the IC specialist. I decided to cut out on soda, coffee and alcohol as they were things with irritated (no pain) my bladder and made my frequency increase. They also caused me to have bouts of urge incontinence.
Last Sunday I cheated on my diet and had a few sodas, a coffee and some tomato soup at a friend's house. It caused me to have a flare and I was up all night going to he bathroom every two minutes. This is not normal for my situation. I followed the diet the rest of the week, but had a date last night and ate a few coconut shrimp that may have had some spiced in the batter. it caused another flare that kept me up all night. I took an AZO and drank some baking soda in water. I am used to eating very spicy foods, but within a week it seems it has all changed.
Has anyone else had this same almost overnight reaction?
I am trying to adjust to all these changes. I am trying to date too and now restaurants seem like the most scariest places on Earth. Thanks for letting me vent, I have been crying all day.
