No lengthy remissions here but what really helps me is to have a balance of water in my system. Too little can bother me, so can too much. I'm doing better on a lower protein diet, raw foods and homeopathic med from a practitioner, and low dose of diazapam relaxes bladder plus helps generalized anxiety. I speak for myself. Nothing worse than someone who tries to push something on another person.
God bless everyone here, may we have more and more success stories.

That is why this disease is so crazy. What is absolutely a lifesaver to one is hurting another. There is no set rule. But it is so helpful to hear what everyone has to say and see what you can apply to yourself.

When I first starting having symptoms my doctor told me to drink LOTS of liquids. So I would drink water all day but my bladder remained irritated. It took me a while to notice that my pain actually went down when I drank less. So now I actually watch myself to make sure that I don't overdrink (I actually LOVE drinking so it's very easy to do), and my pain is much lower than it was before. Definitely don't dehydrate yourself: that makes your urine very acidic and concentrated but I think that I was overworking my bladder and making my pain worse by drinking more than was necessary. So I drink in balance now: enough to make my urine relatively clear, not too much and not too little.
