First DMSO

I had my first DMSO yesterday. I would rather be dead right now. I felt horrible the whole 2 hour drive home after receiving this "treatment," like someone had put a match to my bladder. This morning I awoke at 6 am to a 101.7 fever, a body ache worse than the flu, and the feeling my bladder and pee-er (if someone knows the technical term, please enlighten me, lol) were on FIRE.Oh, and the DMSO has made my frequency so much worse, I've been going every hour at least, and it feels as if I'm peeing out a double sided knife!.But at least when you have the flu, if you lay reallll still you feel ok, this is so much worse, I called my doctor about 5 hours ago and haven't head back yet. I've taken a warm bath and a cool bath, I have aromatheraphy candles lit, and I've finally taken enough pain medicine and fever reducers that I can sit up. I'm worn out from the constant aching though. Anyone else had this reaction before? I will NEVER get another DMSO "treatment." I wish everyone a pain free and happy day. :toilet:

I am so sorry that you aren't having a good time. I have had a total of seven DMSO treatments in the last few months. I too also had a pretty terrible time. If you have a fever, you might have an infection. I would try to get in and get checked or go to the pharmacy and get one of those home UTI test strips. I haven't heard of having a fever with DMSO but maybe someone else here knows otherwise. I also had an increase in frequency and pain with the first few. It did get better however. I always took a pyridium right after my DMSO and that helped with the stabbing pain. The frequency
got better over time. They did help me with the pain. I admit they suck and are a serious pain...literally. I hope it gets better for you.
