I saw a doctor recently for pain in my wrist from tendinitus (sp). He gave me a cortisone shot (steroids). The pain in my wrist went away, but now I am in a flare, something I hadn't experienced in quite awhile. Do you think this could make someone go into a flare?

Usually steroids will help a flare go away, if anything.

I had a cortisone shot in my wrist on Wed. Not only did I have an allergic reaction to it, it made my moderate flare MUCH worse. Overall, I'm 2 weeks steady in this present flare. Really worn out with it.

I had a cortizone shot in each hip a few months ago. My doctor said when you have a shot vs taking the pills it stays in the tissue and doesn't really travel through your system the way the pills do. Maybe just a coincidence?
Last week I was put on a 6 day prednisone pack for what I thought was a rash and they didn't help my symptoms at all! darn, I thought they might.
