really scared

next thursday i am having my first dmso treatment and i am so scared... i have heard so many different things i dont know what to think about the treatment:( he prescribed so valium to relax me so hopefully that will help...please help im scared!!!:confused:

Sorry to see you so scared. Just remember DMSO treatments are not uncommon, and if they weren't truly safe they wouldn't be approved for doctor/patient use. I'm sure the valium will help you to relax... as you're getting ready for the treatment, just think "this is going to HELP me." Remember the long term results rather than the short term discomfort.

Hello hawkbabe, How are you doing? I am hoping and praying to start my dmso the day before you. I'm also scared, but I would like to give it a try. Please drink lots of water and take care of yourself ..if you get an infection you can't start, I know I was suppost to start this week but I got this horrible infection two days before. I pray the dmso will help you they have saved my life i take the heparin and marcaine daily at home. its been such a blessing to me after going threw so much trying to find something that would help the first time i done the dmso at the office Oh I hated it. but after a year later or maybe two the doctor asked me to try them at home well at frist i couldnt tell they was helping me then a new study came out it was safe at first my doctor didn't want me to do it because none of his pat. had tried dmso at one to three times a day but when i started that OH YES. it started working.:thumbsup:
my bladder felt so so much better and now when i'm flareing i will go to the bathroom fix me a treatment those numb my bladder and helps with the flareing IF its from food a drink or stress but if its a UTI it makes the pain wrose.

Hi there,

I have had 6 DMSOs so far... my first one was painful, but after that they got better, and it actually ended up being a very trivial procedure after a while. You get used to being cathed, etc. They actually helped me some, I think.... now I am going to have them once a month.

It's normal to be scared before starting... I was too :) I hope that it helps you...
