Hi everyone,

I am getting married in October and we are going for our honeymoon right afterwords. Originally we were going to go to Hawaii but I was recently diagnosed and had surgery for Malignant Melanoma and we decided that spending a week in the sun would be a bad idea. So we have decided to go to San Francisco and Portland instead.

I am looking forward tot he trip, but am very nervous at the same time. I can barely stand to be in a car, but in my experience planes aren't as bad. We'll be flying from Florida so it's a long trip though. To get from San Francisco to Portland we are taking a train, which is something we've always wanted to do, but I have never been on a train before and don't know how painful that will be. We have one of the little rooms with a toilet in it, so I feel like that should help.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice about dealing with pain on vacation? I know sex will be out of the question, but how can I eliminate some, if not all, of the pain of daily existence, even if just for a couple days?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!
