I didn't know where to post this. I don't know why first of all I have Vitamin D deficiency. As a child I walked to school. Living on US Army Base most of my childhood, the school was right on base and the walk was close. Plus there was recess during elementary school where I played outside. I do alot of walking outside since now I have a dog. I eat fish at least once a week. I drink skim milk. So why do I lack Vitamin D? Strange. So I am to take 400 IU twice a day. I'm wondering for those of you who are taking vitamins, does Vitamin D cause the IC to get worse? I never took vitamins as a teen or now. I took Flintstones as a child. I'm now 31.

That's a tough one. We wear so much sun screen that we're also blocking the Vit. D from our bodies. I don't use sun screen until after noon --- maybe not the best option for my skin, but my "D" is okay.

Since I work in DC and take metro, I always use sunscreen. I sometimes walk during lunchtime around National Mall but only when it's nice and cool out. I didn't wear much sunscreen as a child when I walked to school though. I just been noticing that Vitamin D is making me hard to sleep. It is strange. I only been taking the supplements for a week. I read that supplements can cause IC flares.
