I have a rough time with public transportation and IC. As long as the rapid transit is running and the trip is not too long I'm ok. Buses are painful and so are cars a lot of times. Even shuttles. Anyone else? The rapid transit out here is on strike and I had to cancel my Tuesday appointment with my psychiatrist. By the way, I am reading Harry Potter books and their is a funny expression for those a little strange. I feel strange with IC sometimes. In the books a character says, "barking mad, the lot of them.," I do my best to stay positive and this board helps me a whole lot. Thank you Jill for this board, and every here for your support. I hope I support you as well. It means a lot to me.

Hi,
The BART union & administration have gone back into negotiations to avoid an announced strike at 12:01am Monday. I'm hoping they'll work something out before Sunday night. This week & next would be especially bad for a strike with all the university students resuming classes. Let's hope for the best,

Public transport is a pain! I have to go to a course soon in another city, where I will have to catch a train (with no toilet!) for over an hour. I am really concerned about how this will go. Anyone have any tips? I am considering using an incontinence pad (I'm not incontinent) just in case I can't hold on that long :(
The only tip I have is a bit of meditation, letting the moment of solitude take you away from your troubles.
