Sex question..

I am not sure if I have IC or not and the only time I have had sex was about a month ago. It did not hurt during the act or even afterwards, but I was on Cipro at the time so I'm not sure if that helped to "mask" the pain?

Why do people with IC say it's painful? Is the act itself painful or is it the afterwards part that is? Is it because the penis is hitting the bladder? If the damage in IC is inside then why does it hurt outside?

I doubt that an antibiotic would mask the pain that many IC patients feel during or after sex.
If you are not feeling pain, rejoice! :) Not all IC patients have pain during or after sex.

If you're not having probs with sex.....you're fortunate and I would say, accept it as a gift and don't go there thinking it might happend to you.
