I know all about the nastiness of Amp-B in it's normal IV form, but I've rarely heard of it being used mixed as a cream. Has anyone ever used it this way? My yeast was resistant to everything else apparently. She mentioned diflucan and itraconazole having some affect on it but I've been on three 5 day runs of itraconazole with little help and didn't want me to do the itraconazole along with the amp-b cream.

Hi Bluheaven, I realize your post is a few months old but I'm curious to know if the Ampotherecin B cream worked for you...

I had and still been battling chronic yeast infections and tried evrything you can imagine. I ended with V V, but after many months as the yeast got better, my V V got better too.
The worse thing I tried was Ampotherecin B douche (only one) I was supposed to douche for 7 days but the first one burned me soooo much there was no way I could have handled the remaining 6. Thats was the end of topical antifungals for me for about 2 yrs. The only topical I introduced later was rephresh acid jel which helped to keep things at bay. But after taking antibiotics recently, and Dicflucan, I had to use an antifungal cream. I chose Clortrimazole and diflucan but didnt do much. Now I'm on refrsh and femdophilus capsules vaginally. Howevr I was told by my urologist that applying yogurth directly in teh vagina will help. I tried that before and after many days I got a weird yellow discharge, I think something in the yogurht may have caused it.
I have researched so much and it seems that yogurth would be a route to go. The chances of getting a bad side effect is mch less than getting V V after so many antifungals.

I hope you are doing well....
