Has anyone tried to use Prelief and then take a regular multivitamin to get all their nutrients? If it works for food, shouldn't it work for that too?

I'd be a little scared, just because multivitamins make me flare so badly. For me, prelief only helps on things that may cause a mild increase in symptoms, but not for things that actually give me flares.

HA! I just ruined a Saturday trying that trick. I took 4 Prelief and then the vitamin. OUCH. No go for me.

I still might try it again sometime. I was thinking of taking apart the vitamin which is in a capsule and mixing it with some Prelief granules, but so far I've been too chicken. Kim

Some ICers can tolerate children's chewable vitamins. You might give that a try.

Hi there,

I am sorry this didn't work, but I am not surprised. The Prelief can't do anything about the excess vitamins that are wasted in the urine. That waste is what is so irritating for the bladder.

Donna is right, though, a children's formula is not as concentrated and may be better tolerated.

Hopefully, you will find something that works for you.....

I take a liquid vitamin in addition to Power Reds and Greens (supplements). So far, so good. I really can't imagine not taking supplements in this day and age. I'm just in the beginning stages of finding my triggers.

My doctor has prescribed acidophiles and vitamin C (1,000 taken 3X daily) to repair the bacteria balance from being on antibiotics for so long. She also gave me a one sheet diet of does and don't, which is far more limited than the diet on your site (http://www.myortho360.com/myortho360/assets/elmiron/IC_Smart_Diet_Guide_PI.pdf). This advise from my doctor seems to contradict what's being said on this site.

Also - I've also read that Flurostat or a Probiotic is what is needed to rebuild the good bacteria in the body.

Any advise?
