So my doc told me that everything looked good. Apparently I had less ulcers than the first time, but I am have been in SO much more pain than I was the last time I had a hydro done, which was about a year ago.

I am wondering wy my bladder has felt worse? The surgery was horrible. I got to the hospital at 9:30am and wasn't put under until 1:00pm!!!! And I couldn't eat or drink anything and got the worst caffeine headache ever. LOL. So I was already very emotional when they took me back, and when I woke up I just started bawling. I was pleading with them to take the catheter out. I think I freaked my nurses out. :lmao:

Anyways, I am REALLY REALLY hoping that this second Hydro does the trick. My doc is very optomistic that it will help.

SO everyone keep your fingers crossed for me that this will be the last thing I have done to my poor little bladder for a while!!!

Try to just relax and give yourself some time to heal. I hope this will help you.

Warm healing thoughts,

Glad to know that it is behind you now. I am also glad to hear you are taking it easy. Let your family take care of you right now and catch up on your reading and tv time. Try to think positive thoughts and take things a day at a time. Hopefully this will bring you relief and with any luck, maybe a remission! :)

I also hope your pain will ease up very soon. I remember I was pretty miserable after mine for a few days, but I was fortunate that the pain died down after that. But, I have heard some here say their pain lasted several weeks. We are just all so different, it is hard to say how much longer till you feel better. But, if your pain isnt being taken care of anywhere along the way, be sure to call your Dr and let him/her know so they can help you.

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Hugs,
Amaranthe

Hi,

I have two hydro and I remember feeling awful after the procedure. You just need to think positive and pray that it will help ease some of your pain. I am in need to have another one since I been in a flare since the beginning of the year and nothing is seeming to help me. After my second hydro I felt pretty good for almost 6 months. I was still having pain but I was able to tolerate it.
You will be fine. Give yourself a couple of days to heal. Good luck.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts. I am keeping my hopes high that this will give me some relief for a while. If I have to go back and get this done even as much as once a year, it will be worth it if it helps me to get past the pain for a while.

My husband has been pushing me down on the couch all day, because apparently I am stubborn and assume I can still do everything. :bonk:(i put myself back in the hospital last time by overexerting myself) but I had also had a laproscopic procedure for my endometriosis. So compared to that, this recovery is a breeze. But my wonderful husband stayed home with me today and helped do everything for the kids (I only work 15 hours a week, and my kids are ALWAYS either with me, or my mom while I am working, so it is kind of hard for me to find time to recover, lol) So I am very very lucky to have such a supportive family and especially my husband. It is just so hard to sit around and not be able to play with your kids, and feel helpless. But I don't want to end up back in the hospital, so I am behaving this time :smile tee

Another plus, my doc FINALLY listened to me about what pain meds I wanted to take. I usually take vicodin for the day to day pains that I get, and it is mild enough that it doesn't really knock me out. But every time I am in bad bad pain, he would always give me percocet and I HATE it. It literally makes me feel like there is a hole in my stomach. So i sent my hubby with a list of questions for after the surgery, and he told him that I wanted a higher MG of Hydrocodone instead of Oxy. SO not only is my pain in control right now, but my stomach is aching, YAY!

Once again, thank you everyone for your thoughts! I am so SO SO glad I have this board to visit, and I feel so much support and understanding from coming here.
