Hi, if a cysto/hyrdo is going to help, can anyone tell me how long it takes to get relief?

I usually feel better within a few days.

Thanks Donna,

I've been feeling pretty badly for the past two weeks (following my hydrodistention-lots of urgency) but for some reason I had a brief respite today. I'm wondering if it has to do with the procedure or maybe it's because I started my period. Does anyone know if one's chances of responding to Elmiron have to do with symptom relief following a hydrodistention? I have so many questions!

Thanks so much,
K

I actually had a cysto/hydro on the 20th of July and my symptoms have been slightly worse than they were before the procedure since, I am starting to think that that type of treatment didn't work for me... But i also read that some people didn't get relief until about two to three weeks after the procedure.

I had the hydro/ cysto done about 2 weeks ago and for me it started a horrible flare. The doctor thinks maybe I had a bad reaction to the Heparin, so I scheduled another round of instillations with Elmiron to get me back on track. One thing I've noticed is that if I'm up walking around, it doesn't hurt as bad as when I'm sitting down. Good luck!
