Im so excited! Since I started my CNA job at the beginning of June, Ive lost about 15 pounds! My starting weight was 238, and Im down to 222-223. Ive decided that when I hit 199, Im going to treat myself to a full body massage. Ive never had one and Ive always wanted one. If I hit my goal weight of 165-170, then Im buying myself a designer purse.

For those of you who are new, I was out of a job most of the last year. It really took a toll on me. Over the holidays, I decided to take a CNA class. I finished the class at the end of April and had a job offer two weeks later. Now, I live 3 blocks away from work, I have a job that I love, and I may decide to go on to nursing school next fall. I can apply for a full scholarship thru the place that I work.

Ive not done anything in particular to lose weight. I think most of it comes from my actual job. Im there for 8 hours and I never stop moving. Since Ive seen the weight come off, Im finding that Im not as hungry, and Im eating better. I think seeing the weight come off has motivated me more to do the things I know I should do.

I just wanted to share my success story. I am thankful for the support that I had on here while I was out of a job, and while I was in class. I will continue to update.:hi:

WTG Kim!! But When you loose more weight you might reconsider the designer purse and get you a whole new wardrobe!!! Or heck get both!!! :)

Kim,

You need a HUGE pat on the back just for being able to work 40 hrs a week with IC.

I haven't worked in over 5 yrs and have since gone on disability. And let me tell you I am a people person (more so before I got so sick)and get depressed from not being around people.

So, pat yourself on the back for that as well as your weight loss too! You are indeed blessed!

Hugs and blessings

You sound like you are feeling and doing great:smile teeI am really really happy for you!
Full body massage...you most certainly deserve one, just be careful, they can be very addicting :)
Keep us posted on your possible plans to go to nursing school (would be great, huh??) Since you are already working in the med field, and loving it, you would be a natural. Wishing you the best, as always! Keep up the great work...so very proud of you!
