Thanks everybody!!! I've taken 2 so far and no bad side effects yet, although I'm also taking my pain meds because yesterday I had an instillation and I am hurting so bad,so I feel dopey from those. i just have a question, does the Neurontin take time to work? And how long usually? Days? weeks? Months? Again thanks fot the replies, you are all in my prayers!!
Love and hugs,
Danielle

Danielle,
Sorry I can't offer you any info about the Neurontin--
I've never taken it, but perhaps others will see your post and be able to help you with their experiences. People are so different that the side effects can really vary. Of course, with any medicine it is prudent to always stay in contact with your physician or pharmacy if you have any concerns.
Hugs & blessings to you-
I'm sorry, I'm new to this disease. I've never taken it.

have any of you guys tried any trigger point thearpy? it works wonders for my D, I would say he can be 65% pain free for about five days after the 15 triggerpoint thearpy..the problem is his doc will only give them about once a month..not many doctors will attempt them but if you can find one who will (anistiseoligist will usually do them) you could have good affects.

What is trigger point therapy? dr. wygul learned this techniche in sweeden and isn't comonly used in ic treatment that I know of, but if you had the option to try them I would suggest so..I don't want to scare you about this technic because it sounds horrible BUT IT WORKS! it involves injecting local anestetic into the direct source of pain.(My D gets 15 trigger point injections in his pelvic region a month!) about once a month! the needles are very long and you they put them all the way in! but when she is done my hubby is a new man!!if you like I can put you in touch with him and he could bettter explaine! let me know.

About Neurontin, I was prescribed it with the oxycontin and took one pill one night before bed and woke up with a migraine then tried another pill the next night and the same thing happened the next morning.. so.. ive not taken another one yet. Am gonna talk to my pain doctor next wed and see what he thinks before I take another one. I hope it works for you :-)
