Urethal Pain

I have a general question on IC and urethal pain, that maybe someone can help me out on.

I was diagnosed with IC Aug last year and have had bladder spasms and burning in the bladder area.

I was without pain for 2 months and suddenly I get (for the first time), terrible burning in the urethal area and have had trouble sleeping at night for the last 3 nights.

I am going to the doctors tomorrow, just to get a UTI test, but why would the burning start in the urethal now and not before and what connection does the have.

Also is there anything I can do or get my doctor to prescribe.

Sometimes I get burning in my uretha has well. Especially before my period. Or even after being on antibiotics. I want to put a popsicle up there!!! :dizzy:

You migth want to try lidocain gel, it burns at first but then numbs everything for a while.
