I just wanted to share this, and I have no idea what made it happen. I was sitting watching TV this evening when all of a sudden I realized that I had no burning. It had stopped for some reason. You may think so what's the big deal. Well for someone who has had nonstop burning for over three years, it is a really big deal. I am sitting here trying so hard to keep my muscles from tightening up and ruining it. I have not done anything different aside from my usual routine meds and diet. I don't know how long this is going to last, but it's such a wonderful feeling for the moment. I'm not kidding myself because I know is will return at any moment, but I wish I could pass this feeling forward to everyone else here. :)

Cathy - It's been about a half hour now and it's such a strange feeling. I'm not used to not being on fire. I am concentrating so hard on not tightening up that I think I'm getting a headache. I've only had this happen maybe once or twice in the last three years! Has this ever happened to you?

Thanks for sharing Dakota. I feel your positivity right down here is Australia. I am so happy for you. Finally you are experiencing some relief!

My pain has eased up somewhat due to everyone's tips and tricks that I've been putting into practice.
Now I just have to get on top of my other health problems...

Yes, there have even been a few nights when I had no burning, and didn't have to sleep with an icepack between my legs. Sometimes the relief lasted several weeks, but usually just a day or two. It gives me hope that one day I will actually go into true remission, and not one that's just been brought on due to my meds. :)

I hope that feeling stays with you for long time. Enjoy it while it lasts. You know how it is with IC.
