Hi i was wondering if anyone with IC has also been diagnosed with ulcerative colilitis. I was recently and for the past 2 years they thought it was IBS or chrons disease but they finally figured it out. So i wanted to know if this was a common problem with IC or pretty rare. Thanks Bobbi

I am sorry I have not gotten down to posting my story yet. After reading the boards for 2 years I finally got up the nerve to register and post some! You all seem like such warm supportive people. Anyway, I have both IC and Crohns (among other things).

I was just diagnosed with UC last week while hospitalized. Also had endo--all apparently common per my doc. I also have an autoimmune clotting disorder too. Not a fun club, but there are strength in numbers.

Hug and a

Bobbi,
I have been wondering the exact same thing. I have had IC for 2 years and sudenly this April 16th started with the UC symptoms. They did a flex scope. I was so inflamed the Dr. couldn't get a grip on a biopsy during the flex. Tommorow morning I have a colonoscopy. No one in my family has IC or UC. Lucky me. Which came first for you?
