What sort of lettuce or similar greens are ic friendly? I used to eat salads, now I don't know what sort I can have. Thanks in advance!
Love, Hannah.
I think all lettuces are ok. The only one I've heard any questions about would be spinach, & then more for vulvodynia irritation than IC.

I've never had problems with any lettuces and I am very diet sensitive.

It isn't the lettuce in salads that's the problem of course, it's the dressing.

I get salads from a coner deli every day for lunch. it's one of those places where you pick all your ingredients and they toss it for you. I usually get 1 of 2 salads, which are easy to make at home:
Romaine w/ cucumbers, snow peas, corn, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, and grilled chicken (their must not have a marinade b/c it doesn't bother me) I get olive oil and salt and pepper to flavor it.
Romaine w/ brocoli, rotini pasta, snow peas, feta cheese, bacon bits (if you can tolerate them), and grilled chicken. also have with olive oil and salt and pepper.
there are so many things you can put on a salad that are IC safe, these are just a few ideas....also the feta cheese gives you flavor so you don't miss the dressing as much.
