For those of you on hormonal birth control, how often, if ever, do you get your period? I mean, how many months do you go with out having one? I have skipped mine using the pill for 6 months and that just seems like a long time...

I take Yasmin and with that drug your supposed to get it every month, but after my IC diagnosis and my monthly period flares, my Gyno said I could take them continuously for three months and then get my period. So I get my period four times a year and am happy.

I am in menopause because I have endometriosis so I have no periods. :smile tee

If I go too long without a period, I start IC-flaring, get acne & cry a lot, so when that starts to happen (about 8-10 weeks), I stop the pill & have the period. I've tried to go as long as I can between periods because I've started getting menstrual migraines. The period in February included a three day headache from hell. But my doctor gave me an estrogen patch (Vivelle) to wear during my off-pill week & I was very happy that this period I had no headache at all! I'll count it as success if the next cycle goes as well...

I take yasmin for CBC. My doctor told me not to have a period because of my endometriosis. I do have spotting about every four to five months so I go off of it to have a period, but the pain is so bad. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't take CBC. My docotor told me there was no need for a period if I wasn't trying to get pregnant. Not sure if that is true, but I don't care becuase my pain is so much worse with a period so I refuse to have one!
