Several years ago I was in a car accident. I was not injured in the accident, however several months later I started to have urgency and later minor to moderate incontinence during the day and enuresis. I hope to find a solution soon, but I'm working on coping right now. I don't think I have IC, but some of the symptoms are the same and I have dealt with the same exact anxiety and depression that others with IC go through. I just finished college at the University of Kansas. I have dealt with the humiliation of having to wear 'protection' and being terrified of being found out. I haven't really dated much at all and have limited my social activities. I'm currently trying to get back into a social and dating life with or without bladder problems. What I would like to find are other people close to my age who have had similar experiences and would be interested in talking to someone like myself who can be supportive and fun to talk to about anything.

Regards,

Brankster

Hi Brankster,

Welcome to the IC-Network! I am 28 and was diagnosed with IC in October 2008. My case of IC seems kinda unusual because I typically do not have urgency or frequency. I have very painful urination. When I had the cysto-hydro and a biopsy, it was the biopsy that revealed chronic mild inflammation in my bladder.

I struggle with IC everyday. I have not found any kind of relief from it. On top of the IC I have Fibromyalgia and I just had laparoscopic surgery which found some endometriosis and 2 cysts on one of my pelvic floor muscles.

Congratulations on graduating college!

Please feel free to PM me :)

Sincerely,
Gennifer

Hi, I am a 19 year old newlywed! I will turn 20 next month.

Currently, I am not going to school right now. I'm trying to focus on getting "healthier".

I was diagnosed with IC, etc etc while I was a month into dating my now-husband.

He was so great about it, took care of me, etc.

I just wanted you to know that there are some very great people out there. And having IC doesn't make you any less of a person.

If you want to chat, just PM me!
