I was wondering where to buy Lidocaine gel. I heard you can buy it at stores and it will help IC. It is supposed to be with the sunscreen stuff.
I found some but it has aloe vera in it. is that ok? i would think that is ok. It is suppose to call and cool.

When I get instills they give me a urojet which I think is lidocaine.

Any thoughts?

I have ALWAYS gotten a script for Lidocaine gel.

Me too. The OTC stuff is like .05 % Lidocaine, whereas the r/x Lidoocaine is usually 2% or 5%. That's a big difference. Also the r/x Lidocaine doesnt have anything else mixed in with it. Plus, it has a little cone shaped applicator so you can insert it into your urethra for urethreal pain/spasms.

I also get a script. I can't even find it with out one. My GYNO just refills it whenever I ask, the topical is pretty harmless and is a life saver for many people.

My doc gave me 5% lidocaine ointment and I couldn't live without it! That combined with tramadol helps me function during my big flare months (all summer due to ozone and allergies).

Yes, Urojet is awesome! It is wonderful. I ran out and needed to get a new script to get it filled and it was painful, so painful to catheterize without it. I inject 30,000IU Heparin and 50mL Lidocaine almost everyday. My flares have returned with a vengeance since starting Clomid. They warned me and now I believe them.
