My pain doctor said when she is bad from holidays she is going to inject trigger points in the pelvic floor, I believe through the vaginal area. I forgot to ask her what she would be injecting, I think I was too busy imagining the pain :yikes:

Is botox the only med that is injected or could it be something else? And how painful is this?

Cath:hi:

I just had these done recently and I didn't find them to be too bad. My injections were tramial and marcaine.

I don't know if I am spelling it correctly, but it is a homeopathic treatment. There are no steroids or anything, so it is completely safe. I used to have problems with vulvar vestibulitis and they gave me tramial injections for that and it cleared it right up. So far though, they have not helped with the pelvic floor muscle tightness. I'm in the process of learning more about Botox as that is what they want me to try next.

Hi Cath

I had the Botox injections 2 months ago, and my dr put marcaine in my vagina too, and I think it helped so much
