what was your bladder capacity during hydro?

I'm not sure how full they pumped me... but I did find out today that the bleeding/glomerulations started to show at 250ml.

That's not a whole lot! 8.5 oz.

Is that really bad or about normal? Will that get better?

No wonder I have to pee small amounts all the time lol.....

I'm going to request a full copy of the report next time.

I was distended to 1275 ml.
I think my uro went a bit overboard.:rant:
I had severe complications that started just hours after my hydro. I am pretty sure that the complications may have had something to do with how far I was distended :(
I wish my uro had been a bit more conservative.
I have yet to read durng my years on this board of ANYONE being distended as much as I was. Ok, I do believe I have a good and normal bladder volume/capacity for someone with IC, obviously...tho I have dealt with extreme frequency and urgency in the past and still do at times! But I do not believe that it was necessary to distend my bladder that much and I believe that distending it that much was detrimental for me..thankfully I eventually recovered with no permanent damage done.

I don't know at what point the bleeding starts, but I have had many hydrodistentions and my uro has been able to stretch my bladder anywhere from 400 cc to 750 cc. Once he got 900, but that was unusual.

Me either... my post op report did not state at what point bleeding started or when gloms or ulcers were visible, just the max vol I was distended to (1275ml)...TWICE...among some other details.

I have watched the procedure on a TV screen and I know the bleeding started fairly quickly.

Mine was distended 500 cc during hydro.

My doc said that my bladder was at 200 cc's and was stretched to 450 cc's. I thought that the first urine was horrifying to see all the blood. My bladder immediately started to spasm and I was given antispasm meds and pain meds before I could go home.

650cc under anesthesia for cysto/hydro.

When they tested my bladder capacity while awake (cystometrogram), I started screaming at the doctor at 50cc. He was rather surprised, since he had told me it wouldn't hurt. It was not a good surprise. I think he was more upset than I was.

Just mentioning it because big difference for me between awake & anesthesia bladder capacity...
