Hi Guys!!
For those of you who didnt read my post in "my story," I have just discovered with my doctor that I have a low cortisol level, which is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands that sits on top of your kidneys. It was interesting to discover....but now I am struggling to find a way to do something about it!! :hmm:
So after the cortisol issue was discovered, I have realized just how important my B vitamins have become. Although you can think of the WHOLE thing like a "chicken or the egg issue" (Which came first, the B vitamin deficiancy causing cortisol issues OR the IC which caused me to decrease my B vitamin intake?) I do know I need to up my B vitamins. I am eating well. I drink Vitamin Water whenever I can, but I can only tolerate (and afford!!) that a few times a week.
The treatment reccomended for cortisol is either replacement steriods, which I did discuss with my doctor, OR, high dose B vitamins along with Biotin, and Vitamin C. I am going to try Ester C. Biotin does not bother me, strangely enough I have been taking it (as per my dermatologist) for hair loss. Seems as though they are all related.....
I dont want to start oral steriods just yet as I am young and honestly scared of them. I DO NEED to increase my vitamin B intake like 100 percent!! Any ideas? Anyone know of any foods real high in B's? Anyone have a vitamin they can tolerate?!?! I know thats a long shot....but neccesary. :help:
Its always something!!! :lmao: Hope this finds you all well. Im off to get my day started ~ I'll check back before heading to the health food store for my B vitamin stock up!
HUGS, :hi:
