Doctor forgot my script for codeine for my period! It's not her fault - everyone makes mistakes. And I could call but I'm already home and she's not on call. I took Motrin. I just did it. I couldn't stand the pain. Now my bladder will complain. Thanks for letting me vent. It just never ends.

That's what happened to me last week. I had a misunderstanding and it took almost three days to get my refill for Tramadol. I was "hanging on" :help: Have you ever started to go thru withdraws when you don't have any pills left, I have and it's torture!
You can vent anytime, that's why were here, to give you hope and support :)

I have one pharmacy that is EXCELLENT about getting in touch with my drs for me for refills...whether I just need a refill or dr has not been prompt in returning my calls, or calling or faxing in what was promised. The pharmacist or tech always asks if I would like THEM to call the dr when I call the pharmacy to see if Rx is there, and if it is not, then they offer to call the dr.... I have had VERY good luck getting my meds when the pharmacist calls instead of me (obviously in pharmacy's best interest to do so because then they get their money and also that is great customer service). Your dr may not be on call but should still be able to be reached thru the answering service, and having the pharmacy call, in my experience, has always produced the best results in situations such as yours. IF your pharmacy does not offer to do so, try asking them to make the call for you and most likely they will and will get thru to the dr thru the answering service even if the dr is not on call. Like you said, your Rx was expected, but sometimes *$#( just happens and the Rx does not get called or faxed in!
I hope your bladder does not react too badly to the motrin. Ibuprofen for me is the ONLY thing that works for my menstrual pain and luckily it does not irritate my bladder as it does for others with IC. I also take Tylenol w/ Codeine as my usual med for bladder pain, and it works fantastic, but does not work for my menstrual pain at all.
Take care and I hope you feel better and get this taken care of soon.:)

Thanks Girls. I did alright with the Motrin actually. It killed the pain and only bothered my bladder a little. I think I didn't want to go for the major codeine pill because I started progesterone last night. It was easier to tell if it gave me a stomach ache because it was only one pill. The codeine was definitely going to make me a little sick and I wasn't looking forward to it. Today I feel great! I only have major pain the first day and now it's over. Yay! Thanks for letting me vent.:)
