My brother that lives in california told me about the blood type diet and he said that he tried it for 3 months and felt great. Anyway, it tells you the foods you should eat and also the foods you should avoid based on your blood type.

I have not tried it, but I did read about it. I found it very interesting. It also tells you what conditions you are prone to.
For example I am type b ...and it say type b's are prone to bladder
conditions, so I thought that was interesting. I asked my Doctor about it and he was not to hip on the idea...

Eat Right 4 your blood type has been around for a long time. My sister-in-law has been on it for many years and she feels great. No health problems yet and she is 51.
I have read the diet. I have celiac and diabetes besides IC so my diet is so limited now that I really can not do it. If I had known about it before these diagnosis I would have tried it.
My health food store owner recommends it highly and stays on it himself.

A new one to me-
How do you find out what type of diet to eat for your blood type?
Is there a place on the internet to locate these diets? Since it is something new to me I would be interested in learning more about it. I never tire of learning all I can even though I might not want to try it after I evaluate all the theories about it.
Thanks for the info-:)

I work in mental health and we provide alot of health education for our clients, including nutrition, exercise, and living a healthy lifestyle.
The doctors and nurses I work with think the "blood type diet" is just another fad diet. There is very little scientific evidence to support it's claims.
If your interested in losing weight or improve your diet, a visit with a registered dietician can really help. Usually, your primary care doctor can recommend one.

Actually most people on this diet are not on for weight loss. It is a diet for better health.
Dr. D'Adamo has been around for a long time so I don't know if it is just a fad.

I read his book and his follow up books. They make some sense. Even so, if you follow his advice, you still need to limit your diet further by restricting your IC triggers. Most people are already complaining that IC diets are too limited. This might be useful, but it is also another limiting factor on what you can eat. If we could balance all of these diets, I have no doubt we would all be healthier.
No doubt IC forces us to eat a restricted diet, but I always say "What is wrong with a diet that restricts you to healthy eating"? Items like coffee get most ICers in trouble yet many people also complain they can't drink coffee.
To me that is like saying, "It hurts everytime someone hits me in the head with a hammer but I want them to continue hitting me. I just don't want it to be so uncomfortable." To me the answer is simple: stop hitting yourself with the hammer/coffee/([your trigger here].
