Tomorrow I am going to see my old gynecologist. He did my c-section when I had my daughter. He is sympathetic to pain pretty much - he's a little macho but in a funny way. I have no doubt that if I need some kind of surgery he will not botch it. I will write a list of questions and I will be asking about many endo treatments I have been blessed to find out about from many here.
Wish me luck.:) I'll let everyone know what happens tomorrow.

It went great!!!!
My doctor was really patient and explained things really well. I said I didn't want or need an exam and he was 100% fine with that. Right away he said he felt the Nuva Ring was bad for me because of the estrogen and my BP and he quickly agreed to a progesterone only pill. He said it wouldn't hurt me and we could at least try it. If it works I will be really happy. I can use it for birth control as long as I take it at exactly the same time every day. I have a predictable schedule and I can definitely do that.
Then he said if I was still bad he wanted to try Lupron. I would be in menopause for 3-6 mos but he said it really wipes out the endo. It won't raise my BP. I may gain weight so I want to give the progesterone a try first.
He isn't crazy about ablation/excision but would probably be willing. When I get my hydro/cysto they will check to make sure I really have endo. My doctor today actually told me they recommend my uro all the time. They love him and say he's one of the best doctors around.
Never mentioned a hysterectomy. And he didn't try to sell me the latest drugs the pharmaceutical reps are selling. He said he truly believes Lupron will work for me if I want it.
Most importantly, he didn't act like I was a moron and he has a great sense of humor. And he never acted as if I had only 2 options until I should get a full hysterectomy. He also didn't act like it was inevitable. He was upbeat and positive. My daughter met him after the appointment. She gave him a big hug and he told her she was very tiny the last time he saw her. She was awestruck. He was the doctor who delivered her. She still can't get over it.
Thanks for everyone's concern. I wish everyone's doctors visits could be that good.

Angela glad to hear it went well today for you. Sound like you have a great doctor which don't come along to often.

Thanks Trish. I believe the best doctors in our state end up in that practice. I may not agree with everything but they are very progressive and care when you're in pain.
