I was just wondering if diet alway effects ic. I haven't really found anything yet that causes me to flare...as far as food or drink goes.

Thanks...although I do try to avoid some foods..I haven't found it to be a real problem with ic. I have stopped drinking diet colas, I only drink water, haven't seen an improvement. Been off them for about 3 months now. Thanks for the reply. You are right, we are all different....stress of any kind....makes me worse.

dbays,

I havent been formally diagnosed as of yet, but my uro gave me the IC diet guidelines after my first visit. I followed it to the letter, but didn't find any relief. This was my motivation, to cut my caffine consumption (I will drink diet, caffine free sodas), which made me feel emotionally better - hate being an addict hehe, but overall, the diet didn't help me any as far as IC symptoms. I'm sure it's worked wonders for some, however. We are definately all different, but I can't avoid tomatoes or onion... I'm Italian and it's in my blood to have them in almost every meal! lol

Best Wishes
