I was wondering if there is anyone who takes an over the counter something to "relax" their bladder from frequency if they have a function to go to or anything else.

I don't know anything that's over the counter, but there are several smooth muscle antispasmodics on the market. You might want to ask your doctor about ordering one for you.

hi! new here. I used a product called Cystex until I could get in to see a uro. I thought it worked way better for me than those AZO/Pyridium orange pee pills. It doesn't turn your pee a color (i dont think) and it is both an analgesic and it has methenamine in it too. I liked it and my uro said it was safe to take but that getting perscription stuff is gonna be stronger of course and safer long term. You might want to give this a try. I think it's at cystex.com I got it at CVS.

oh yeah, I know it isn't really for relaxing the bladder but for some reason I did find it helpful...worth a shot I guess

Hi, I can see this post is a couple of months old. Well, when I went to see the acupuncturist a while back, she gave me a powder to drink as tea. It is Hoelen 5 and Yu Jue Wan. Now, I don't know much about this stuff, and if you're taking other medicines I have no clue about interactions. But when I took it, it gave me the same feeling that the RX overactive bladder meds give me.
