I'm not thinking particularly clearly, but I'm sure it's the shock of getting that final diagnosis. Voiding feels a lot better and less frequent, but when I get up and move around, my balance is really bad.

Any ideas about the balance thing?

Possibly could be effect of anesthesia or any meds you may be taking...but probably best to contact your doctor if this continues!

Sounds like pain meds. They make me dizzy. Are you taking anything for pain?

I felt exactly the same after my general anesthetic two weeks ago, quite spaced out for 2-3 days afterward as well as a little queezy. I think it probably took me more or less a week to feel my old self again.

So my recommendations would be to get loads of rest, drink lots of fluids (to get rid of all the painkillers and other medication they put in you) and go for short works if you feel up for it to get your blood pressure up and your circulation going. xx

I am goofy all the time, so don't feel bad! :bighlaugh:

wonder if you have a middle ear infection and don't know it. It throws off you equilibrium. man there is a name for it, it happens to me and I can't think of the name of it, on is lambrathitits, I know I sbelled this wrong!! and can't think of the other name, but I know Donna will know, this came up before but not about sedation just the dizziness..

I too have had problems with balance and equilibrium while some kind of ear or sinus issue was brewing that I was not aware of. Just made me feel dizzy and off balance, vertigo/seasick I guess you would say, with no other symptoms but that. If I closed my eyes and tried to stand in place I would literally sway this way or that so bad that I would almost fall down. So tho anesthesia or meds probably most likely to be cause w/ your surgery just being two days ago, ear or sinus problems can also cause dizziness and loss of equilibrium.

I had the same issue after mine about 6 weeks ago. It was so bad that I did actually pass out the following morning. I felt very dizzy, confussed, lack of short-term memory and balance for about a week afterwards. When I first passed out I contacted the Uro and they advised that my blood pressure was low. This is a common side affect of the anesthetic which causes the above symptoms and that combined with pain had probably caused me to pass out.

Recommendations would be first obviously call your hospital and or doctor as they will check your blood pressure notes. I was advised to lie with my feet above my head. I did this for the first day or so but for a good couple of weeks I felt odd. Everytime I felt light headed or confused drinking plenty of water and snacking on high sugar such as sweets or biscuits kept me ok and a bit brighter!

Hope you feel better soon, and enjoy the excuse of regular eating on sweet things!
