had Cystoscopy today

So past two months I have had symptoms of IC and I have been on elmiron for about a month. Last month I had bladder awareness, but recently I just have urgency, and feels like Im constantly holding my urine. So I had a cystoscopy done, and can i say OUCH. And good news he saw no glomerulations, cancer, or even much swelling. But he did notice I have a narrow urerthra. And I have been doing research on it and it appears that if you have a narrow urethra you can have urgency, frequency, and residual urine. I'm just hoping that perhaps this is the reason for all my symptoms. In three weeks I am going in for a urethra dialation, I heard your urethra may narrow again, but it would be so nice to have some relief! Anyway have any of you been told you have a narrow urethra? Have you had urethral dialation? Thanks for all your help

I had urethral dilations back when I was being diagnosed. They did help.

A cystoscopy done in the doctor's office will not usually diagnose IC, however, so if you don't feel better, I suggest you discuss further testing.
